Case study · Rural listing

Ninety minutes from the Strip. Zero minutes online.

A 2,800-sqft, 5-bedroom home on .42 acres in Alamo, Nevada, small-town living with field and mountain views from a second-floor deck. The buyers weren't in Alamo. So the tour went to them.

The listing

The property.

A cul-de-sac home built for country-quiet living: space for the RV, a shed for the toys, a dog run, and a wood deck upstairs for the views.

The marketing package combined an HDR/DSLR photo slideshow for MLS with a Matterport 360 virtual tour, so an out-of-area buyer could walk every room, feel the separation between the upstairs and downstairs living areas, and see the yard and deck layout, before committing to the drive north on US-93.

Rural listings are where virtual tours earn their keep: the buyer pool is thin locally, the property is far from everyone, and the tour is the only showing that costs nothing.

The takeaway

If the listing is far, the tour works harder.
